Flexicote 250 is a superior grade 250 micron semi rigid self adhesive book covering,
which gives excellent protection and durability to paperback books.
Available in a range of sizes, the sheet is adhered to the front and
back covers of the book, and makes the covers substantially more rigid and durable.
Unlike
other semi rigid coverings, Flexicote is made from crystal clear PET
(Polyester), which does not yellow with age, doesn't become soft with
heat, and is resistant to stains and damage. Polyester is more
expensive than other clear films, but we believe it to be the best
quality semi rigid covering on the market.
Application of Flexicote is quick and easy. Simple stick one
sheet to the front, and one to the back of a book, then trim any
excess. Repositionable adhesive means that you can lift Flexicote
sheets off the cover for repositioning. Once given an hour or so to
settle down, they become permanently attached.
To finish the book, a strip of Plascote or
similar self adhesive is often applied across the spine of the book,
helping to attach the sheets permanently.
An alternative method for book
reinforcement without changing the external appearance is to apply
sheets of Flexicote to the inside of the covers. This greatly
increases the rigidity of the book without having the appearance covering on the
outside.

Choosing a size and quantity
Select the size that is closest
to but larger than the cover of the book. You may need to trim
the cover down after it has been stuck to the book.
2 covers are required per book for most purposes, so a packet of 100 sheets is sufficient to cover 50 books.
